Fed Up! Rally to End the Opioid Epidemic September 28th

Are you FED UP with the continued loss of life from heroin and prescription painkillers in this country?  Have you wondered why our federal government has been entirely ineffective at putting an end to the skyrocketing addiction rate from these drugs?  If so, then we need you in Washington on September 28th.  The FED UP! Rally is a call for immediate, coordinated and comprehensive federal action to end the epidemic of addiction and overdose deaths attributed to opioids (including heroin) and other prescription drugs.  Join our grassroots movement along with families and major advocate organizations from across the country!  With ONE VOICE we will be heard and get action for change!

When:  Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM

Where:  The Mall in Washington, D.C. (Between 12th and 14th Streets) followed by a March to the White House.

Why:  Immediate action from our federal agencies is needed to prevent new cases of opioid addiction, to prevent more overdose deaths and to ensure access to effective treatment for millions who have become addicted.

Who:  Invited speakers include affected family members, people in recovery, members of congress, medical professionals and celebrities.

FED UP! Reception: Saturday, September 27th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the National Press Club, 529 14th Street NW, Washington D.C.
